Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing this website, using the pricing calculator, or submitting an early access reservation, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
WorldFolder is a Minecraft server hosting service. The website is currently in early access: the pricing calculator is interactive, but servers are not yet activated. A reservation expresses interest only and does not create a binding contract to purchase hosting. When services launch, you will be offered a separate, clear checkout with its own terms.
3. Reservations and Founder Years
- A reservation records your email, server build and preferences so we can contact you when early access opens.
- A "Founder Year" reservation signals your interest in a paid 12-month plan at a locked price. It is not an order and creates no payment obligation today.
- Founder benefits (price lock, discounts, storage or feature bonuses) are limited to the first 100 worlds, are non-transferable, and are subject to the final founder terms published before activation.
4. Pricing and Payment
Prices shown in the calculator are estimates for the configuration displayed. Free tier, monthly and yearly billing options will be offered at launch. Yearly billing is charged upfront. Paid plans include a 30-day money-back guarantee; after that, upgrades and plans may be cancelled at any time and remain active until the end of the paid period.
5. User Conduct
When using WorldFolder, you agree to:
- Comply with the Minecraft End User License Agreement (EULA) of Mojang/Microsoft.
- Use the service only for lawful purposes and not attempt to disrupt, exploit, or abuse the infrastructure.
- Not upload malicious files, cheats, or content that violates the rights of third parties.
- Not resell or sublicense access to your server or plan without permission.
- Not harass other players or use the service for spam or unlawful content.
6. Intellectual Property
WorldFolder, including its website design, code and documentation, is the intellectual property of the WorldFolder operator. WorldFolder is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. Minecraft is a trademark of Microsoft. Modpacks, plugins and maps remain the property of their respective authors and are provided through public catalogs (e.g. Modrinth) under their own licenses.
7. Availability and Warranty
The service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis during early access. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or specific startup times — fast startup targets (e.g. under 10 seconds) are targets, not guarantees. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of world data. We make regular backups, but you are responsible for keeping copies of worlds you consider irreplaceable. Statutory liability for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health remains unaffected.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate access in the event of a breach of these terms or applicable law.
10. Modifications
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, without regard to conflict of law principles. If you are a consumer, mandatory statutory provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Place of jurisdiction for merchants is Munich, Germany.
